Sign In and Authenticate Your mSecure Account

Signing into your account for the first time

When you create an account in mSecure for the first time, you will most often tap or click "Sign Up" to create a new account. Once you have gone through the onboarding process and created a new account, you will be signed into that account on your device. If you need to sign up for an account first, visit this article.

In order to sign in, you will need the email address associated with your mSecure account (username) and the password you use to unlock your mSecure account. If you are signing in on a device for the first time, you will also need to have your Authentication QR Code in order to prove you as the owner of that mSecure account. You can learn more here.

Signing In on Another Device After Creating an mSecure Account

Once you have one device signed into your mSecure account, you can add other devices to sync your information securely via one of the methods listed above.

You have since received an email to the email address used for your mSecure account titled "IMPORTANT: mSecure Account QR Code - (Date)". This email contains crucial information for the authentication of your account on another device, please flag or save the QR Code of this email in order to use it for future additions to your mSecure account.

Troubleshooting

What if I have an mSecure account already, but I forgot the password or lost the Authentication QR Code?

If you have lost your password or Authentication QR code and you cannot log into your mSecure account on any other devices (via biometric authentication or otherwise), then you will need to perform an account reset. You can learn more here.

I am receiving an "Invalid QR Code" message when I scan it. Why is this occurring?

There are several reasons why this might occur:

  • The QR code was meant for a different mSecure account.
  • The QR code is an older QR code created before changing your account password
  • The QR code is your original code after going through a password reset.
