Sign In and Authenticate Your mSecure Account

Signing into Your Account for the First Time

When using mSecure for the first time, you will typically tap or click "Sign Up" to create a new account. Once you complete the onboarding process, you will be automatically signed into your new account on your device. Need to create an account first? Visit this article for a step-by-step instructions.

To sign in, you will need:

  • The email address associated with your mSecure account (your username).
  • The password you set for your account.
  • If signing in on a new device, you must also have your Authentication QR Code to verify your ownership. Learn more about authentication here

Signing In on Another Device

Once you've signed in on one device, you can add other devices to sync your data securely. After creating your account, you received an email titles: "IMPORTANT: mSecure Account QR Code - (Date)".

This email contains your Authentication QR Code, which is required for signing in on additional devices. Save or flag this email so you can easily access your QR code when needed.

Sign In and Authentication Instructions

1. Open mSecure.

2. Skip the prompts and tap "Sign In."

3. Enter your mSecure account email and password.

4. When prompted to authenticate your account, choose one of the following methods:

  • Scan your QR Code using your phone's camera from another device displaying the QR Code.
  • Upload an image or PDF of your Authentication QR Code from your device.

5. Once authentication is complete, your device is now linked to your mSecure account.

What if I Forgot My Password or Lost My Authentication Code?

If you forgot your password or lost your Authentication QR Code and cannot log into your account on any device (including via biometric authentication), you must perform an account reset. Learn more about the reset process here.

Why Am I Getting an  "Invalid QR Code" Error?

Your QR code may be invalid for several reasons:

  • The QR code is for a different mSecure account.
The QR code is outdates (created before changing your account password).
  • The QR code was issues before a password reset is no longer valid.
