Change Account Password

You can change your Account Password anytime in mSecure settings - whether you want to strengthen it, update it regularly, or stop using the same passwords for multiple accounts.

Your Account Password (Master Password) is used to unlock mSecure and secure your backups. When restoring a backup, you must enter the password that was in use at the time the backup was created.

Important Notes:

  • mSecure accounts were introduced in version 5 (now mSecure 6).
  • Versions 3 & 4 do not use accounts, so they are not connected to our system.
  • We recommend migrating to mSecure 6 for the best experience. Learn more here.
