Restore Data from mSecure 4 to mSecure 6 (Password Known) - New to mSecure 6

This guide is for  users who:

  • Still have mSecure 4 installed, and
  • Know their mSecure 4 password, and
  • Are setting up mSecure 6 for the first time


What this process does

You will move your old, local data from mSecure 4 into your new mSecure 6 account so all your passwords appear in the newer app.


Important: ⚠️ Do not delete mSecure 4 until you see your data successfully appear in mSecure 6. 


Before You Begin - please confirm

  • mSecure 4 is still installed
  • You can open mSecure 4 using your password

If you do not know your mSecure 4 password but can unlock the app with Face ID/Touch ID, click here



Steps to Restore Your Data

  1. Install mSecure 6 from the App Store
  2. Open the app and go through the welcome screens
  3. When prompted, choose Sign Up to create your mSecure 6 account
  4. Choose your preferred sync option (mSecure Cloud is recommended)
  5. When asked if you want to import data from mSecure 4, tap Yes
  6. Enter your mSecure 4 password when prompted. 

Once complete, your data from mSecure 4 will appear in mSecure 6. 


Note: Everyone must create a new mSecure 6 account. You may use the same email address you used in mSecure 4. 


After Restore

Open your records in mSecure 6 and confirm everything looks correct.


Once you can clearly see your data in mSecure 6, you may safely uninstall mSecure 4.
