WiFi syncing issues - Windows Specific

Most of the time, any Wi-Fi sync problems are customers experience on their PC is caused by their network profile settings. As long as it is set to "Private," everything should work. You can use the instructions below to ensure your network profile is set to private, and that should take care of any sync issues you may be encountering:


If using a wired connection on your computer

  1. Click the notifications icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar
  2. Click “All Settings”
  3. Click “Network & Internet”
  4. Click “Ethernet”
  5. Click “Network” or the network that matches the network you’re using as the Main Computer in mSecure
  6. Enable the “Make this PC discoverable”

If using a wireless connection on your computer

  1. Click the Internet Access icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar
  2. Click “Properties” for the network you’re connected to
  3. Under “Network profile, switch your network profile to “Private”
    • Do not switch your computer’s network to private if using a public WiFi connection. Also, you shouldn’t be trying to sync via WiFi using a public WiFi connection
