Enable Windows Hello

Windows Hello gives Windows 10 users an alternative way to log into their devices and applications using a fingerprint, iris scan or facial recognition. Microsoft also allows us to use this feature to allow you to unlock mSecure using a fingerprint, iris scan, facial recognition, PIN, or picture password.

To enable Windows Hello:

  1. Open and unlock mSecure
  2. Click the Settings icon
  3. Click Security
  4. Enable the "Use Windows Hello to secure your data" toggle
  5. Authenticate the Windows Security dialogue that will pop up

Once enabled, this feature will allow you to unlock mSecure via any of the Windows Sign-in options you have enabled on your computer. You can also always disable this feature whenever you'd like.

To disable Windows Hello:

  1. Open and unlock mSecure
  2. Click the Settings icon
  3. Click Security
  4. Disable the "Use Windows Hello to secure your data" toggle
