Thank you for contacting us. You having access to your information is of the utmost importance. Do you have access to your data in any version of mSecure on at least one device? All that matters is that you can access your information. Even if you don't know the password to unlock mSecure but you're able to unlock it using some type of biometric authentication like Face or Touch ID, everything should be good moving forward.
I do have access to an Earlier version of mSecure, but I have not completed a Sync on this version in a while, so it is Not up to date. If I Use this Older version, can I change my Password and will that New password be in effect for All mSecure versions?
Also, Is there a Way to open mSecure without a password But Import data from a Previous Back-up??
Hi Eric,
Thank you for you response. mSecure 4 and mSecure 6 are not connected apps, which means if you change a password on the mSecure 4 app, this will not sync to the mSecure 6 app. WIf the data that you have in the older version of the app is still valuable information, we can transfer this data to the mSecure 6 app.
Every backup file is encrypted with the password that was in use when the backup file was made. If you don't know that password then you won't be able to restore that backup file. There is no way to open the app with a backup file. Please let me know if you are willing to transfer your old data to your mSecure 6 app.
Eric
I upgraded to iPhone 16 Pro (with the Latest iOS version) and now my password is Not recognized! I KNOW I have the correct password, and NO I did not type it wrong. What happened?
