Upgrading from mSecure 3

Hello, I have downloaded mSecure 5 (both desktop and App) coming from mSecure 5. Everything went OK. I was (?) a paying customer. Now the system tells me I have 30 days temporary license. I still have the old license memorized. What do I do? I dont see where I should enter the license number. Thank you. Alessandro

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for contacting us and I'm sorry about the issue you are experiencing. mSecure 5 is a brand new app, and it marks the first time in the history of our company that we have charged for an upgrade to mSecure. We wanted to make it a free upgrade for our customers, but with the current landscape of application development, it was not feasible for us to do so.

You can purchase an mSecure 5 license from our website here: https://www.msecure.com/ or through in-app purchase in mSecure 5 itself. Please contact us here or via email at support@msevensoftware.com for discount offers we might have available. Paid users simply have to sign in to the mSecure account they created and used to purchase an mSecure 5 license.

I've been told there were/are still some specials for upgraders, yet no one has answered my request at the email you posted. How about making  another discount for upgraders with a license code? Since I last heard about an offer it was version 5.0 and in that one the version was restricted to using your own secure portal. Since then the big change for me was the removal of that restriction. I would not have event tried your product until that was done. Guess I missed subsequent offers until that was available. It also seems there are more competitors than ever in this channel of product. Therefore it would also be good for you guys to offer the product discount. So... How about it?

We answer emails as we receive them. Someone will contact you and likely provide you a discount offer soon.

Thanks. I'm 2 days into my single user account and  trial of v 5.5. I've been very forthcoming about the experience thus far and will continue to be so. An upgrade discount for our two user registrations would be appreciated.

I've used v. 3.5.6 for years. It does most of what I have it for -- backing up sites, passwords, etc. Now that Google Chrome and Norton Identity Safe provide password protection and automatic logins, just what does mSecure v. 5.5 offer that isn't redundant and excessive? The promotion seems to be nothing more than hype, and appears to apply only to a cellphone version.  How about a comparison chart with real, working examples.  I hate to overwrite 3.5.6 with a complex of unnecessary gewgaws.

Hi Neill,

Thank you for contacting us. Google Chrome has had the ability to save your login passwords for a long time. Norton is simply bloatware. I'm not in advertising and I don't feel my job is to convince you to use mSecure. You can if you'd like to though. mSecure 5 is available for free and all new accounts receive a 30 day trial to try out all the features before purchasing it. mSecure 5 is for iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows so there are new cellphone versions as well. mSecure 5 is a completely separate app and nothing you do in it will affect the previous mSecure apps or information.

You can find out more about our new features here: https://www.msecure.com/features/

I went back to v. 3.5.6 after trying 5.5.5.  WAY too much white space in 5.5.5.  I would never trust Google with my passwords.  Always keep your passwords locally only.

I deleted a n  Msecure in my documents and  lost my entry into my passwords

I would purchase a new upgrade if I could get my passwords from my 3.5 back again

Hi Myer,

Thank you for contacting us, and I'm sorry for the issue you are experiencing here. Are you able to unlock any version of mSecure on any of your devices by chance?
