Hi Mary,
I see that you have also contact us via email or a ticket on this support website. Let's keep our converstation there to make it easier to refer to your emails and anything else needed.
I think I have found the problem. I originally purchased v 3 under the email address starting as mtwed............ When I purchased v 5 I got a notice that this email was in use and I put in an email address starting with mltwed......... All my devices are now showing under the account beginning with mltwed.......... even my iPhone is showing my current account under mltwed... and is not showing it has only so many days to run, so hopefully I got the actual program and not the trial one. But is not syncing over msecure cloud. Only my iMac and macbook are. I am unable to establish my new account under mltwed........ on the account log on page. It will not let me do a password set up. I can only access my old account under mtwedt..... When I try to log on with my new email account address, mltwed......and ask to set the password, get "This support portal account is not tied to our mSecure app or mSecure account system" I really need to get mltwedt........ into your system. If that can be accomplished that would be great. It is under this name that I purchased v5 as it wouldn't let under my old account name. But my iPhone stilll does not sync new data. I don't even see a sync button only sync preferences
Hi Mary,
Thank you for contacting us and I'm sorry about the issue you are experiencing. The purchase of an mSecure 5 license is tied to the mSecure account used to purchase it with. If you are seeing a trial period, you did not purchase a license with that account. Please let me know, or contact us at support@msevensoftware.com, with details of your purchase and we can help you here.
I suffered a similar situation but received support from Support.msecure and have had no problems since
I purchased v5.6.2 and it loaded onto my iMac and Macbook air. When I downloaded this version for my iPhone at the app store and entered the same credentials I used to enter this account, I get a message that the app is good for 24 more days and that I can pay another 29.99 to get the full version. since I used my user name and password exactly as I did here, why I am being told I have to buy another copy?
mSecure 5 is the first and only version of mSecure to use an account system. If you haven't used mSecure 5 before or purchased an mSecure 5 license from our website, you'll have to create an account to get started with mSecure 5. mSecure 5 will not sync with the previous versions of mSecure. mSecure 5 will walk you through a migration process if you start the very first time with mSecure 5 on a device that has the previous versions. Otherwise, mSecure 5 can restore from a .msim backup file created in the previous versions. Here are guides that can show you how to transfer your information from mSecure 3 or 4 to mSecure 5: https://support.msecure.com/en/support/solutions/folders/36000176650
mSecure 5 does sync seamlessly with mSecure 5 on all available platforms:
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/msecure-password-manager-and-secure-wallet/id1063795594
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mseven.barolo
Mac: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/msecure-password-manager-and-secure-wallet/id1157750250
Windows: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/msecure-5/9nblggh62pc8
Compatability for Windows,Phone and tablet should be seamless
I have an old version on msecure on my iphone. I purchased a new MacBook. I downloaded msecure 5. Is there any compatibility between the two. Msecure 5 will not accept my sign on and password I have with the msecure version I have on my iphone. How will I get the information to sync?
Hi Savvides,
mSecure 5 is a brand new app, and it marks the first time in the history of our company that we have charged for an upgrade to mSecure. We wanted to make it a free upgrade for our customers, but with the current landscape of application development, it was not feasible for us to do so.
You can always redownload the previous versions of mSecure if you would like: https://support.msecure.com/en/support/solutions/articles/36000064249-how-to-download-previous-versions
If you would like to use mSecure 5, you will need to purchase an mSecure 5 license (We call the license an mSecure Pro license). We have discount for previous customers. Please contact us via email at support@msevensoftware.com or create a ticket on this support website to learn about our discount offers.
I bought version 4. Can i still use pro features of version 5.x?
or shall i install version 4?
Hi Michael,
I'm not sure I understand your issue here. There is no Pro version of mSecure or mSecure 5. There is mSecure 5 and the previous versions. mSecure 5 allows users to purchase a license for their accounts and have a Pro mSecure license or a Pro account. Additionally, mSecure 5 cannot sync with the previous versions of mSecure nor their sync files. Instead, you can restore from a backup file created in the previous versions. You can go here to learn how to migrate your data from mSecure 3 or 4 to mSecure 5: https://support.msecure.com/support/solutions/folders/36000176650
Note: You cannot sync your mSecure 5 information across different mSecure accounts at this time
I am unable to get my MSecure Pro version 5.0 to sync with my Dropbox account which was my backup. I have tried "Sync now" several times to no avail and I have linked and unlinked to my Dropbox account several times to no avail. I cannot access any of my stored passwords, etc. on the Pro version.
mSecure 5 is a brand new app (separate from the previous versions), and it marks the first time in the history of our company that we have charged for an upgrade to mSecure. We wanted to make it a free upgrade for our customers, but with the current landscape of application development, it was not feasible for us to do so. No, we do not have plans to charge for all major upgrades in the future. We went almost a whole 9 years without charging for a single update or upgrade, but we do need to make money to cover development and support costs.
Did you not note that I posted that I'm using version 4.5? You also keep saying MSecure 5 as though it's a completely different program than MSecure 4.x.
MSecure 5 appears to be an upgraded version of MSecure 4, which as I stated previously, I paid for. The question I haven't received an answer to yet is:
Am I going to be charged each time you upgrade your software?
I also need to get a straight answer on this as I've just advocated that my entire company get this program to manage passwords. If we're going to be paying again and again then that would of course impact our decision.
Hi Robert,
You have a paid account for robert.hunt@fundyeng.com that was created on Feb. 20th, 2017 (our mSecure 5 pre-order period). As I previously mentioned, The purchase of an mSecure 5 license is tied the mSecure account used to purchase it with. If you are seeing a trial period or are being asked to pay, you are not using this account nor an account that has paid for a license.
Also, $3.99 sounds like the custom icons and photos attachment add-on in mSecure 4. We've never sold mSecure 5 for that low of a price.
Note: you've never used the robert.hunt@fundyeng.com account in mSecure 5. You can check what mSecure username/email you are using in mSecure 5's Account Settings in the Settings menu.

mSecure 5 includes both Free and Pro features. The Free features can be used forever at no cost. The Pro features are free to try for 30-days. After that, a single one-time purchase (paid upgrade) entitles you to use the Pro features on all of your devices on multiple platforms.
You can download mSecure 5 for free here:
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/msecure-password-manager-and-secure-wallet/id1063795594
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mseven.barolo
Mac: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/msecure-password-manager-and-secure-wallet/id1157750250
Windows: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/msecure-5/9nblggh62pc8
Paid users simply have to sign in to the mSecure account they created and used to purchase an mSecure 5 license.
We recommend starting with mSecure 5 on a device that has the previous versions installed so that mSecure 5 can walk you through the migration process: https://m7software.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/36000064322. Otherwise, you can always restore from a .msim backup file created in the previous versions: https://m7software.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/folders/36000176540.
