Login item not showing up when trying to auto fill on iOS...

Hello,

I use mSecure on iOS and other platforms as well.  I have a password saved for a crypto wallet that I use on my iPhone.  This password is saved as a login item.  When I got to my crypto wallet and click on the space where I enter my password I am then given the option to autofill the password with mSecure.  I select mSecure and it opens a viewer where I can search through my passwords.  I can see lots of my passwords, maybe even all of them except the password for the crypto wallet...

I've attempted to create a new record with a different type (I used secure note I think...) to see if it would then show up as an option for me when trying to autofill, but no luck.  I can't seem to get the password to be displayed in the viewer that pops up when trying to autofill.  I if I go back in to mSecure and search for it (in the app, not the viewer that pops up when autofilling) I can then find it, manually copy the password and paste it into the app.

What is going on here?  Why does the password not show up in the viewer that opens when attempting to autofill from mSecure?  Is there a way for me to fix this or is this a bug?

I use mSecure on Mac and Windows and can confirm that the crypto wallet password is available on those devices, so mSecure sync is working correctly and doesn't seem to be the problem.

Thank you!

Hi Harrison,

Thank you for contacting us, and I'm sorry for the issue you are experiencing. For the crypto wallet Login Record that you have in mSecure, do you have a URL field filled out with the website you go to for the crypto wallet? You can a URL attached to the record in order for you to be able to autofill this record. Please let me know and I will assist further.

Hi Mark,

I do not have a website added in the crypto wallet Login Record.  There isn't a website for this particular app, it is only an application.  When I attempt to enter the password in the app I have the option to open mSecure, after I've done that I can see a list of lots of records (though the "globe" button in the top right is grayed out, which I assume would give me access to all of the records?).

Since this wallet doesn't have a website, is there a way to get the record to show up without it?  Or is the requirement only to have a URL and I could add any URL and it will pop up?  I did just attempt to add a fake URL and it didn't seem to fix it.

I'm ok if it doesn't auto fill and I have to search for it in the viewer that pops up, but I would rather not have to exit the app and the viewer, then open mSecure, and copy and paste the password.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Harrison,

Thank you for your response. You should be able to see the record even without a URL in the URL field, so this is strange. I want you to open the mSecure app and tap on the record that currently contains the login information for the crypto wallet. Please check if you are seeing it as a "Login" record. I also want you to make a new "Login" record titled "Test". Give it a random username and password and see if you are able to find this Login record in the same area when you tap the globe icon.

Are you seeing the test record?

Hi Mark,

I just created the Test "Login" record and when I went to the crypto wallet (immediately after creating it) I was unable to find it.  Something interesting is going on, the globe icon in the top right is grayed out and I am unable to click it.  When I see the mSecure viewer I see an "All Logins" title at the top of the viewer (see screenshot) even though it truly doesn't seem to be ALL logins.

I went back to the actual mSecure app on my iPhone and was able to find the Test record as usual.

Let me know what else I can do to help test here.

Thanks,

I did another test in the Southwest airlines app on my iPhone.  This app is able to autofill my username and password since the URL is added in the Login record, but instead of selecting to autofill I chose to open the mSecure viewer and search through all of my logins.  In this app I am able to select the Globe icon in the top right and I see my records show up however I was still unable to search for and find either the Test record that I created or the Crypto Wallet record.  It's also interesting that in the mSecure viewer I am unable to see any records associated to southwest.com even though it is available for me to autofill with mSecure when I go to login in the app.

Here are a few screenshots to show what it looks like when using a different app on my iPhone (it is interesting that this time the mSecure viewer is in Light mode, my device is always in dark mode... but that isn't a huge deal)

Hi Harrison

Thank you for your response. This issue seems like it might take some more trouble shooting to figure out exactly why this is happening. This will require your email address that you are using for mSecure 6. I want you to send an email to "support@msevensoftware.com" titled "Attn: Mark". In this email, let me know what account email you are using for your mSecure account. I also want you to let me know if you have any access to your data on any other devices. I will assist further after I get this email from you.
