Hi Caroline,
I have responded to your ticket. We will continue our conversation in solving these issues through our ticket system.
I am replying to this topic because Mark Green never responded to my thorough response to his initial response to the ticket I entered. Perhaps someone else can help if anyone reads this forum.
I do have backups for the mSecure on my Mac mini which were created before the problem happened.
I also have backups and several csv exports of my mSecure data on another computer, my Mac laptop, created today when all the records were available, not deleted on my laptop.
My question is
a. should I try to restore from the last undamaged backup on my desktop?
b. if this fails, should I try to restore on my desktop from the backup copied from my laptop.
I would appreciate any help.
option C is to delete the application from my desktop, reinstall it and import data from either my desktop backups, the laptop backups or the exported laptop file.
I would hope someone from mSecure will reply to this and help me.
I trusted all my passwords to mSecure, and through no fault of my own, these passwords are inaccessible on my desktop computer!
Caroline
Hi Caroline,
I have sent 3 responses to you but I am assuming they are being caught in your spam folder. In the screenshot you provided, I can see you have 404 records under "All Records" and you have 20 under your "recents" filter. Your "Recents" filter just shows your last 20 records you have interacted with. You also have a "Favorites" filter enabled which the golden star you see at the top-right of your screen. You have 326 records in your "Deleted Records" list which only you can add in this list.
You will need to click on the golden star located at the top-right of your screen first and make sure to click on "All Records" to see all of your records. If you want to bring some of your deleted records back to your main view, click on "Deleted Records" and select all of the records you want to restore back to your main view. Did this work for you?
Caroline
I opened mSecure today to enter a new record and discovered that all but 20 of my records appear under "deleted". Only 20 are accessible outside the deleted section.
1) I did not delete ANY of these records
2) I have no idea how to move them back to active from the deleted section
3) I do have an mSecure backup file with the last 20 backups saved but I do not know how to restore from this backup
Above all, I need to know how the majority of my records were suddenly deleted from my desktop Mac , to which no one else has access
