Biometrics Option Greyed Out

I just got a new Pixel 9 phone and installed MSecure 6 on it. Ithought the fingerprint sensor worked the first couple of days but I am not sure. 


I am sure that it doesn't work now. I DO have the password, but when I go to settings the option to enable fingerprint is greyed out. 


I can use the password, but I would rather use the fingerprint unlock. Any ideas?
