Lost several records

Hi,

I lost several records, though I'm not entirely sure about the cause, I do have a theory.

My concern is to get the lost data back in a manageable way, if that is even possible.

My setup :

- a laptop Windows 11 with mSecure 7

- a PC Windows 11 with mSecure 7

- an Android smartphone (Samsung S24) with mSecure 7

- mSecure Family subscription

I have backups and cloud sync enabled on mSecure 7 on  my smartphone. 20 backups are kept.

Please note that I litteraly witnessed a record "vanish".

What happened is the following: I have several devices on which I use mSecure. Most of the time I use my smartpone,  but I also have a pc and a laptop, but I don't use them that often for mSecure.

At the time of the event, my smartphone contained more passwords than my laptop, normally that shouldn't be a problem, as it is all synced with the cloud. What happened is: I switched on my laptop after a longer time (weeks) of not using it. I don't remember if I explicitly asked mSecure on my laptop to sync or not.  What I do remember is, I pressed the sync button on my smartphone, and I litterally saw a newer record dissappear after the sync, where I expected that record to be added to the cloud rather than being removed.

I saw there is a "deleted" section of records, but I didn't find the record I saw dissappear in that list of deleted records.

It feels a bit like switching on my laptop caused the sync to the cloud to do something weird to the dataset in the cloud, which in turn caused  an overwrite of the dataset on my smartphone rather than uploading the most recent data on my smartphone.

My questions :

1. can I recover the data on my smartphone in a manageable way ?  Mind that I have no idea on how much data exactly was lost, I know of at least 2 records, but I'm sure it will be more. The lost data should be synced to the cloud from where it can be distributed to the other devices.

2. please prevent this in the future, this is unacceptable behaviour, it makes the software unreliable.

Kind regards,

David.
